If there is one thing I fall for in autumn, it's warm and buttery pears adorned with a mouthwatering streusel-like topping. This pear crumble recipe fits the bill perfectly and comes together quickly thanks to my trusty air fryer. Yes, an air fryer. This small appliance does more than just "fry" chicken wings. It's absolutely delicious, and a scoop of ice cream on top is the pièce de résistance. Of the pear crumble, not chicken wings, although...

While I'm all about every version of a cobbler and a crisp, a crumble might be my favorite of the fruit desserts because the topping is, well, a little extra crumbly. It's a simple combination of flour, sugar, spices, and butter, but when baked over top of the pears it gives a delectable crunchy texture.

While ice cream is my go-to topping, you can do whipped cream or a drizzle of heavy cream if that's more your style.
